I have been using a Siemens Speedstream 6520 for my DSL connection from Bell for over a year. I found that the options in the router’s interface somewhat limited. It turns out Bell has crippled the interface, disabling many options, such as Dynamic DNS support. I couldn’t find a Siemens original firmware to upload but I found a solution.

Apparently, the options are still there, but Bell used a different home page hiding these options. All you need is some HTML magic.

Download these files, extract them to any folder and edit them. Both show router IP as, edit it to match your router. Then open index.htm via IE, Firefox, or your favorite web browser and voila. You’ll see whole option list on the left side.

As a test, I enabled Dynamic DNS support and it worked like a charm. Happy surfing
